If Hindi is imposed, forget TN, none of the other Southern states too will accept: Rajini

Actor Rajinikanth has said that if Hindi was imposed, forget Tamil Nadu, none of the other south Indian states too would accept.

Talking to reporters at the Chennai airport, Rajinikanth said,”A common language would be good for any country’s growth. However, unfortunately, we cannot bring a common language in our country. Not just Hindi, no language must be imposed. If Hindi is imposed, people will not accept. Not just Tamil Nadu or the southern states. Even in North India, nobody will accept.”

The actor also made it clear that he had already instructed his fans not to put up banners and hoardings.

Rajinikanth’s statement on imposition of Hindi assumes significance as Home Minister Amit Shah had recently urged people to learn Hindi along with their mother tongues.
